CORPORATE LEGAL ADVISOR / LAWYER
- Responsible for the interpretation, implementation and monitoring of Corporate policies and procedures and ensure their compliance to the systems, structures and standards of UAE Law; and ensuring strategic involvement of Legal Department for Company development.
- Develop the Legal Department as a team that possesses the necessary behavioural and technical competence to be an effective support to the attainment of the corporate vision.
- Administer with updated relevant Corporate Legal issues and cases.
- Prepares budget of Legal Department operations.
- Consults Government Department to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.
- To assist senior management to ensure that the Paris Group operates in accordance with all UAE legal and regulatory requirements.
- To promote, lead and manage the culture and practice of Legal risk management
- To act as primary liaison to outside counsel for legal matters relating to business booked in UAE.
- To provide specialist advice on local regulatory requirements.
- To monitor regulatory developments in UAE and countries in the region where Paris Group operates in.
- To be the subject-matter expert for laws and regulations in Middle East.
- Draft and review of all types of commercial and civil contracts entered into by the company in the course of its business.
- Advise the management concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- Analyze the probable outcomes of cases.
- Coordinate with external lawyers the strategies for defense in litigation.
- Secure the validity at all times of the various licenses or permits needed by the company to carry out its duties.
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations for businesses.
- Negotiate settlements of civil and commercial disputes.
- Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in courts of appeal with consultation from company's legal experts.
- Represent the company before government agencies.
- Search for and examine public and other legal records to write opinions or establish ownership.
- Help develop interpretation of laws and legislation, and establish enforcement procedures that can be easily understood by the management for references.
- Support the groups move to appropriate governance and integrity processes and reporting
- Drive and determine compliance with rules and procedures for land bank and contractual risks
- Understanding of change management requirements to increase certainty of outcomes.

Education: College Graduate
Degree:Any Business Course
Experience:Retail Fashion, Sales, Marketing and Management
Years & Type of Experience:Minimum of seven (7) years in the same capacity
